Job Description

Position Responsibilities Concept Development
  1. Lead the ideation and conceptualization of new food concepts, drawing inspiration from market trends, consumer preferences, and culinary innovation.
  2. Develop innovative and differentiated food recipes that align with our brand identity, target audience, and business objectives.
Market Research
  1. Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and consumer preferences in the food space.
  2. Conduct market research, consumer surveys, and sensory evaluations to identify emerging trends and opportunities for innovation.
Quality Assurance
  1. Establish and maintain quality standards for food products, ensuring consistency, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Conduct sensory evaluations and quality tests to assess product attributes and identify areas for improvement.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Alignment
  1. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of food innovation initiatives.
  2. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, presenting ideas, progress updates, and recommendations for product enhancements.
Project Management
  1. Manage multiple food innovation projects simultaneously, from concept to commercialization, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and project milestones.
  2. Coordinate activities with internal and external partners, including suppliers, vendors, and co-manufacturers, to support project objectives.
Documentation and Reporting
  1. Maintain accurate records of food development processes, including recipes, formulations, specifications, and testing results.
  2. Prepare regular progress reports, presentations, and post-launch evaluations to assess project performance and inform future innovation strategies.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements
  1. At least bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or related field required.
  2. At least 1 to 2 years of experience in food innovation, product development, or related roles within the food and beverage industry, preferably in a coffee-chain or quick-service restaurant environment.
  3. Strong knowledge of culinary trends, flavor profiles, ingredient functionality, and formulation principles.
  4. Proven track record of successfully developing and launching innovative food products, with a focus on taste, quality, and consumer appeal.
  5. Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a keen understanding of consumer preferences and market dynamics.
  6. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  8. Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite / Google Suite solutions.
