Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations
  • Implement strategies to optimize production processes and increase operational efficiency
  • Ensure the plant meets production targets while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Champion a culture of safety within the plant, adhering to the company's safety policies and industry best practices
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and environmental standards, working to minimize safety incidents and environmental impact
  • Supervise and motivate a team of professionals, including operators, technicians, and support staff
  • Provide coaching and support for team members, fostering their growth and development
  • Collaborate with Human Resources for recruitment and performance management
  • Develop and manage the plant's budget, controlling costs and resource allocation
  • Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures while maintaining operational excellence
  • Monitor and maintain product quality standards, implementing quality control measures to ensure the highest quality gases and products are produced
  • Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and operational performance
  • Embrace innovation and new technologies to optimize plant operations
  • Promote and implement sustainability initiatives in line with the company's environmental objectives
  • Work towards emissions reduction and energy efficiency in plant operations
  • Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including production data, safety reports, and maintenance records
  • Generate regular reports to monitor key performance indicators and plant performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering
  • Proven at least 10 years experience in plant management, preferably in an industrial chemical/gas environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Extensive knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control
  • Budget management and cost control experience
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to drive change and lead in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
