- The candidate must have the ability to critically evaluate legal issues, precedents, and evidence. They should be able to dissect complex legal problems and construct logical, persuasive arguments.
- The candidate should demonstrate the ability to conduct initial case evaluations to determine the merits of a case, predict potential outcomes, and decide the best course of action. Proficiency in legal research and drafting clear, concise, and compelling legal documents is essential, including pleadings (Statements of Claim, Statements of Defense, Rejoinders, Written Submissions), motions, briefs, legal notices, and replies to legal notices. Proficiency in legal databases and research tools is also necessary.
- The ability to negotiate settlements and mediate disputes is critical for resolving cases favorably without the need for a trial.
- The candidate must effectively manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks to maintain efficiency, ensuring that no aspect of a case is neglected.
- Provide legal guidance to ensure that daily operations align with legal requirements and best practices.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies.
- Oversee and manage litigation matters, collaborating with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Identify and assess potential legal risks associated with operational activities and litigation, proposing effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and maintain legal documents, agreements, and records related to operations and litigation.
- Handle disputes related to operations and litigation, working towards swift and effective resolutions.
- Collaborate with internal departments, external stakeholders, and legal counsel to address legal concerns and ensure seamless operations.
- Negotiate settlements and mediate disputes to resolve cases favorably without the need for a trial.
- Maintain effective communication with all involved parties to ensure successful dispute resolution.
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
- Ensure no aspect of any case is neglected, maintaining high standards of organization and attention to detail.
- Proven experience in litigation with a strong understanding of both civil and criminal laws.
- Proficiency in legal research databases and tools.
- Excellent drafting and research skills with attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively under pressure.
