Vishay Semiconductor Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is currently seeking applicants for a Staff/Senior Product Development Engineer. Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for sourcing, evaluation, analyzing and making recommendations on new products, design, materials and cost improvement to enhance competitive edge.
2. Contribute to the design, development, and release of new Product & Packages to support new product introduction.

Job Location: This position will be located at Krubong, Melaka in a vibrant industrial area. You will experience different exciting local cultures in this historical state. Nearby are malls and various restaurants. It is also close to recreation parks and a stadium. What you will be doing:

1. Design and Develop Opto Coupler product & packages to support new product introduction.
2. Source, evaluate, analyze and make recommendations on new products, design, materials, process and cost improvement to enhance competitive edge.
3. Lead, plan & manage projects based on the product development time chart.
4. Responsible to define package characteristics to meet electrical requirements.
5. Development of manufacturing process equipment and related tooling for prototype, engineering and Mass Production.

What you will bring along:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Semiconductor Technology, Microelectronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Chemical Engineering, Physics).
2. Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in IC/semiconductor environment.
3. Good knowledge/understanding of semiconductor packaging processes, materials and technology.
4. Strong analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
5. Great interpersonal skills and communication.
6. Experience of 2D AutoCAD and 3D drafting is an added advantage.
