Job Main Roles: To provide general accounting and financial reporting support, account analysis, and reconciliations to ensure financial and management reports are accurately stated and presented in a timely manner. Job Description:
- Perform analyses of accounts to determine the propriety of the recorded amounts.
- Provide financial accounting support to the business areas such as advice on accounting treatment, account coding, departmental and project reporting.
- Prepare financial and management reports with variance analysis and verification of balances.
- Prepare reconciliation for assigned accounts and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
- Validate proper accounting treatment of assigned accounts and compliance with the financial reporting and accounting standards, tax requirements, and internal control.
- Ensure inter-company and inter-project accounts are reconciled and settled monthly.
- Independently evaluate project completion reports and reconcile regularly with actual project costs.
- Maintain revenue realization schedule per project and ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies and procedures.
- Properly account and record employee-related transactions, property and equipment, projects, other assets, other liabilities, and equity.
- Conduct financial evaluation and analysis of the contractor’s proposed projects.
- Conduct surprise cash count, report results, and recommend process improvements as necessary.
- Monitor construction bond and verify release to contractors for completed work.
- Complete schedules required for internal and external audit purposes.
- Provide functional support to financial system users.
- Maintain master data in the financial system, as assigned.
- Maintain up-to-date general accounting and financial reporting written procedures.
- Ensure prepared journal vouchers and financial report documentation are audit-ready.
- Maintain and update the standard reconciliation template.
- Recommend, implement, and maintain process improvements.
- Observe and comply with existing company codes, policies, agreements, rules, and regulations.
- Elevate to management any noted deviations from sound internal control.
- Provide other accounting and administrative support and assistance as necessary.
- Graduate of BSBA Major in Accounting or BS Accountancy.
- Certified Public Accountant, as one of the advantages.
- At least 1-3 years of work experience in financial accounting and reporting function or at least 2 years of external audit experience.
- Familiar with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), Philippine Accounting Standards (PAS), and SEC filing requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Amenable to work in Quezon City.
