Position Summary: We are looking for a highly driven and talented software engineer or bioinformatics engineer to join the DRAGEN Team. The team focuses on developing automated test infrastructure and bioinformatics tools to analyze large genomic datasets, setting up a CI/CD and improving the databases and websites that we use for the verification activities. Responsibilities: Work independently in cross-functional teams to lead the testing effort for data analysis software. Design and implement automated software verification framework and scripts. Work with bioinformatics scientists for data analysis, troubleshooting, and bioinformatics tool development. Participate in Code and Design Reviews. Ensure Software Development Life Cycle procedures are followed. Collaborate with peers to identify opportunities for process improvement. Requirements: Strong software engineering fundamentals are required. Experience developing software applications utilizing a high-level language such as Python, Java, C# or C++ is required. Experience in designing or architecting automated verification frameworks and tests. Have a good understanding or interest in Bioinformatics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Oncology or related fields. Be able to work in a Linux environment. Experience with CI/CD and related tools is preferred. Experience with cloud technologies is preferred. Be curious, detail-oriented, and analytical, with a proven ability to learn quickly. Be customer-focused, team-oriented, and motivated, taking ownership of assigned tasks. Have proven ability to self-manage, as well as manage interdisciplinary relationships. Good verbal and written communication and troubleshooting skills. Normally require Bachelor with 5 years or Masters with 3 years relevant experience or PhD.
