They will work closely with curators, designers, architects to create engaging narratives, uncovering the historical, cultural, and artistic significance of collections in public spaces. The role also involves contributing to operational andadministrative tasks like preparing research reports/ presentations, internal and external archiving for projects, and ensuring adherence to ethical museum practices.An ideal candidate must fulfil the following:• Passionate about Indian history, art, culture, and demographics (indigenous traditions, beliefs, crafts, and communities).• Detail-oriented, with a strong ability to analyze and synthesize information.• Proficient in storytelling and developing accessible narratives.• Capable of working collaboratively.• Self-motivated, organized, and adaptable to varying project timelines.• A proactive thinker, able to balance independent work and teamwork.Key Responsibilities:Individual Responsibilities:1. Research & Documentation:o Conduct in-depth research into Indian history, culture, crafts, indigenous traditions, and arts to create detailed, insightful narratives for exhibitions and projects.o Conduct secondary research on museum case studies and public arts/cultural interventions from around the world to support the above.o Compile, analyse, and interpret primary and secondary sources to enrich content source for exhibition designers.o Manage archival documentation ensuring proper cataloguing and accessibility.o Develop comprehensive research reports and concept notes.2. Content Development:o Collaborate with curators and exhibition teams to align research findings with project themes and objectives.o Support the team leader in the development of multimedia contents like project walkthrough video scripts, etc.Collaborative Responsibilities:• Operational & Administrative Duties:o Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including designers, project managers, and external experts, to ensure cohesive project research outputs.o Support the development and execution of programming related to research findings, such as lectures, workshops, and community outreach events for holistic professional development.• Team Collaboration:o Contribute to team discussions to ensure the integration of research into spatial design, graphics, and other exhibition elements.Required Technical and Professional Expertise:• A Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Museum Studies, Art History, Anthropology, History, or a related field.• 3-5 years of experience in a museum, cultural institution, or research-oriented design agencies in similar domain, focusing on research, documentation, and content development.• Knowledge of museum ethics, standards, and best practices.• Proficiency in digital tools like Microsoft Office Suite and citation management software.• Research, analytical, and writing skills, with a portfolio of previous research work.• Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:• A master's degree (minimum) in Museum Studies, Art History, Visual Studies, Anthropology, History, or a related field.• Experience with field research, ethnographic methods, and oral history projects.• Familiarity with technologies used in museum storytelling, such as digital archives and interactive content platforms.• Prior work experience in government or large-scale cultural projects is advantageous.What We Offer:• An opportunity to contribute to transformative museum and cultural projects.• A collaborative and creative work environment, where your expertise will shape impactful visitor experiences.• Professional growth in an interdisciplinary setting, blending history, research, design, and technology with holistic learning opportunities.Remuneration: INR 6-9 LPA (depending upon expertise and experience) AGG
