Job Title: BIM Coordinator - Construction Location: Gurugram Reports To: Design Head Employment Type: Full-timeRole OverviewThe BIM Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating Building Information Modeling processes across construction projects. This role ensures the effective use of BIM tools and workflows to facilitate collaboration among design, engineering, and construction teams, optimize project delivery, and maintain compliance with industry standards and client requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesBIM Model CoordinationDevelop, manage, and maintain project BIM models across all disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP, etc.).Ensure model compatibility and accuracy by integrating inputs from multiple stakeholders.Conduct clash detection and resolve conflicts using software such as Navisworks or BIM 360.Project CollaborationAct as the central point of contact for BIM-related issues, ensuring seamless communication between architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.Facilitate coordination meetings to review model progress, address conflicts, and align on project goals.Ensure that BIM models meet project deliverables and timelines.Standards and ComplianceImplement and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and workflows in line with project and industry requirements.Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, contractual obligations, and project specifications.Maintain consistency in model naming conventions, version control, and file organization.Software and Technology ManagementUse BIM software tools like Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM 360 to create, manage, and review models.Stay updated on emerging BIM tools and technologies, recommending improvements where applicable.Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support to project teams as needed.Training and MentorshipTrain and mentor project team members in BIM processes and software.Promote best practices and encourage adoption of BIM workflows across teams.Support junior BIM coordinators and technicians in delivering high-quality outputs.Documentation and ReportingPrepare and manage documentation, including BIM Execution Plans (BEP), workflows, and model logs.Generate detailed reports on model accuracy, clashes, and updates for stakeholders.Document and archive project-specific BIM models and related data.QualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Experience:8-10 years of experience in BIM coordination within the construction industry.Proven track record of working on large-scale construction projects using BIM.Skills:Advanced proficiency in BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360.Strong understanding of construction workflows, building systems, and project delivery methods.Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.Certifications (preferred):Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit or equivalent.Certification in BIM Management or related disciplines.
