A leading global consulting firm is in search of a dynamic and seasoned Principal to helm their Power & Utilities practice. This role offers the opportunity to drive strategic initiatives, oversee transformative projects, and deliver outstanding value to clients. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry expertise and a track record of successful client engagement, ensuring innovative solutions and impactful results in the Power & Utilities sector.Position Overview:The Principal in the Power & Utilities practice will leverage deep industry expertise and consulting acumen to manage high-impact client relationships and drive business development. This role involves overseeing strategic initiatives, optimizing operational efficiencies, and ensuring successful outcomes for clients in the Power & Utilities sector.Key Responsibilities:Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor to ensure the delivery of high-quality, impactful solutions that meet client needs.Drive growth within the Power & Utilities practice by identifying new business opportunities, developing proposals, and securing new clients.Lead complex consulting projects within Power & Utilities, focusing on strategy development, operational improvements, and technology implementations.Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to provide informed recommendations and insights.Mentor and develop junior consultants and project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.Manage project budgets, track financial performance, and ensure profitability while delivering exceptional client value.Qualifications:10+ years in management consulting with a focus on Power & Utilities, including a proven track record of managing client relationships and leading complex projects.Demonstrated experience in business development, including identifying and securing new opportunities, developing proposals, and driving growth.Deep understanding of Power & Utilities sector dynamics, including grid management, energy generation, distribution, and regulatory issues.Proven ability to lead project teams, manage client expectations, and drive business development initiatives.Advanced degree (MBA, MPA, or equivalent) preferred. Relevant certifications or qualifications in Power & Utilities are advantageous.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and strategies effectively.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering actionable insights and solutions.
