Roles and responsibilities Responsibilities Graduate level understanding of Engineering practices, design methods and calculations Ability to comprehend and interpret technical information applicable to their discipline of engineering Demonstrates the application of theory in a practical context Graduate level of competence in the application of standards, processes and procedures and how they are used in work execution Graduate level of knowledge of regulatory framework and associated legislation. Graduate level of competence in own discipline in the execution of assigned tasks. Graduate level of knowledge of industry and technology development within discipline area Ability to comprehend, interpret and prepare applicable technical information and suggest design changes to ensure functional and cost effective results Demonstrates awareness of policies and procedures that affect specific job assignments Ability to prepare accurate, effective, complete and easily understood written communications and reports Good level of general computer literacy and basic familiarity with some relevant specialist engineering software Qualifications Fresh graduate with a Mechanical Engineering degree Excellent command of the English language (both written and verbal) Well adept in utilizing MS Office Good communication, reporting and presentation skills Mechanical Design: Assisting in the design and analysis of mechanical components and systems. Manufacturing Processes: Understanding various manufacturing techniques and materials selection. Energy Systems: Basic knowledge of energy systems and thermodynamics applications. Maintenance and Reliability: Familiarity with maintenance practices to enhance system reliability. Research and Development: Supporting R&D initiatives by conducting experiments and analyzing data. Desired candidate profile Technical Knowledge: Understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science. Design Skills: Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for creating and modifying engineering drawings and models. Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and implement changes effectively. Basic Project Management: Understanding of project planning, time management, and resource allocation. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting ideas.
