Summary: As our Lead CCTV Technician , you will help to lead Surfline camera and hardware operations throughout Australia, with your primary focus being Queensland and northern New South Wales. You will carry out both field operations and desk-bound administrative responsibilities. You will be directly responsible for an array of field responsibilities such as: camera installation, maintenance, cleaning, and other tasks required to maintain and grow the hardware footprint in your region. Under Surfline’s “Work from Anywhere” policy, this position may be performed on a full-time remote basis from Queensland or New South Wales, Australia. What You'll Do:
- Perform field work including camera installations, repairs, maintenance, etc.
- Prioritize and perform remote support and service calls for camera locations
- Perform new installations and any required maintenance on live weather stations in your region
- Maintain updates for all internal Camera Operations systems with accurate camera network information
- Support internal teams with administrative tasks pertaining to the camera network in your region
- Work closely with other hardware team collaborators to complete/exceed your quarterly regional goals
- 1-2 years of experience in technician fieldwork, including: cameras, line of sight, ISP, networking, network cabling, and troubleshooting
- Ability to work in the field and travel to sites within your region as required; valid drivers license and reliable transportation required
- Positive self-starter who is equally good working on their own and as part of our Camera Operations team
- Confident and passionate individual who takes pride in the work they do
- Attention to detail and highly organized
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Passion for ocean-going activities
- Familiarity with surfing and an instinctual understanding of what makes a good camera experience
- Experience with CCTV cameras and corresponding software
