[What the role is] NEA is the lead agency for planning after-death facilities and services in Singapore. The Memorial Facilities and Planning Division oversees the planning and provision of these facilities. You will be responsible for leading the planning and launching of new after-death facilities, and maintaining oversight of the development process. This includes projecting the after-death facility requirements and other after-death trade demands as our demographics change over time. This role requires close collaboration and consultation with multiple stakeholders, to ensure timely and sustainable provision of such facilities. The candidate must have a good eye for detail and will take on finance and procurement responsibilities. [What you will be working on] Your job responsibilities include:

  • Lead the planning and development of after-death facilities and managing consultants and contractors
  • Formulate policy and operational strategies to manage disamenities arising from after-death facilities
  • Review and develop relevant policies and regulations related to after-death services
  • Respond and attend to feedback
  • Adapt to changing priorities and take on additional responsibilities as required by work exigencies
[What we are looking for] Job Requirements:
  • 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Interest in development / construction project management, policy, or land-use planning
  • Experienced in calling and administering public tenders
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
  • Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement
  • Good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with both internal and external stakeholders
