Technical Sales Manager SOES, Saudi Arabia Purpose of the job:The Technical Sales Manager is the primary techno-commercial resource with sales skills to strengthen the sales force. They combine technical knowledge with sales skills to provide advice and support on a wide range of products and services. The role requires the ability to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to ensure complete customer satisfaction throughout all stages of the sales process. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships throughout the sales cycle is essential. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving all proposals for the Business Line sales in cooperation with the Sales team and GM or Sales Director if needed, and coordinating with the Operation Manager.Context:Department: SalesReporting line: Sales Director / GMCharacterization:The Technical Sales Manager supports the business line proposal office staff and coordinates with the Sales Director or GM to develop new business and achieve sales targets.Result Areas:Responsibilities:Responsible for reaching out to various clients in oil and gas, petrochemical, power, steel, desalination, and process industries. Business development and delivery of product and technical/maintenance services demonstrations. Represents the product and services to customers and organizes field events such as conferences and seminars to promote business. Conveys customer requirements to Product Management teams and convinces clients technically and commercially. Able to travel throughout the sales territory. Coordinates the technical proposal team for estimating and calculating, defining specifications, configuration drawings, system load calculations, etc. Manages mono-discipline proposals and coordinates between multiple proposal engineering Product Lines. Integrates multiple technical proposals and manages the Sales Team to achieve targets. Prepares and monitors Sales Reports.Contact & Coordination:Maintains direct contact with customers and ensures constant touch and close follow-up. Coordinates between multiple proposal engineering Product Lines and handles client contact for technical matters (bid clarification meetings, etc.).Job SpecificationSearching for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximizing client potential in designated regions. Developing long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements. Persuading clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price, and delivery. Negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs. Calculating client quotations and administering client accounts. Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education, and after-sales support services. Analyzing costs and sales, preparing reports for head office. Meeting regular sales targets and coordinating sales projects. Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events. Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs. Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts. Helping in the design of custom-made products. Providing training and producing support material for other members of the sales team.Information:Support in the onboarding and training of new staff under the schedule of the master program. Manage and update customer information like installed base, shutdown/maintenance planning schedules, OEM, competition level, etc.Marketing:Work in association with Sales Manager/GM to provide support in designing marketing strategies and coordinate with Stork Marketing HQ. Extend support to Sales Manager to produce standard presentation material and brochures. Understand company products and services, and develop business goals and strategy to achieve sales targets, map out clients, etc.SkillsEducation:Bachelor's or higher degree qualification (e.g., Technical/Business) or other equivalent qualification or experience level.Experience:Minimum 10 years of experience working in Oil & Gas or Power Industry.Knowledge of valve repair and pump maintenance services.Experience in selling capital equipment, projects, maintenance services.
