We are looking for a versatile and skilled Prison Vocational Cover Tutor to deliver hands-on instruction across various vocational subjects, including Barbering, Carpentry & Joinery, Bricklaying, Multi-Skills Construction, Plumbing, Barista Training, and Painting & Decorating. The ideal candidate will emphasise practical skills, promote employability, and integrate literacy and digital competencies, all within a framework of safety and restorative practices. Maths and English Level 2, vocational qualifications, PTLLSAETCET teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards) teaching experience preferred Employability and Digital Skills: Highlight employability skills like teamwork, communication, and professionalism, and integrate digital literacy relevant to each trade, such as digital inventory tracking. Support Diverse Learning Needs: Adjust teaching methods to support learners of all skill levels, including those with low literacy or neurodiverse needs. Progress Tracking and Quality Standards: Monitor learner progress, set clear project standards, and provide feedback to guide learners toward certification where applicable. Collaboration and Employability Passport: Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and Work & Skills Coaches to support the Employability Passport, tracking skills and achievements. Relevant vocational qualifications or extensive hands-on experience in fields such as Carpentry, Plumbing, or Barbering, and a commitment to adaptive, inclusive teaching.
