Business Systems Analyst: The EAP Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will serve as a liaison between the subject matter expects (SME) and the EAP development team. The BDA will analyze and understand the data in order to obtain and transform business requirements into functional specifications that result in development of Data Modeling & ETL. Job Responsibilities: Liasson between business users and technical teams Analyze and interpret data in existing databases to support projects and resolve data issues Map source system data, to data warehouse models (both staging and presentation layer facts/dimensions). Identify and assess potential data sources. Perform gap and impact analysis. Interview business users to gather requirements for reports, extracts, data, metadata, data quality and service levels. Perform business specifications reviews with the business, developers and QA analysts. Take ownership and drive all assigned tasks to completion according to project plan. Develop a deep and comprehensive understanding of our Laboratory and Life science business, systems and customers. Create well-written, clear, concise and above all accurate document artifacts including functional specifications, gap analysis documents, mapping documents and process diagrams for the purposes of data warehouse construction, report development etc. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- At least 8 years of experience in IT as a Business Data Analyst.
- Must have healthcare data experience
- Must have knowledge of HL7,FHIR
- Nice to have knowledge of APIs and creating contracts for building an API.
- Preferably, experience in data warehouse environment.
- Ability to understand how our data relates to our source systems, its relevance to our upstream and downstream applications, and our business.
- Solid understanding of SQL, stored procedures and ad-hoc query development. Comprehensive understanding of relational databases.
- Ability to write requirements to extract data from existing databases, document transformation rules based on business requirements gathered from non-technical people.
- Ability to provide functional and data requirement documents Work together with Data Architects.
- Must be a team player, able to work with people within and outside of the organization.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written as well as exemplary organizational skills Previous experience leading or managing teams.
