For more information, visit dxc.technology As a Senior Business Analyst, you may be asked to perform a variety of business analysis tasks across two streams of activity in our applications development business unit:

  • External client-facing assignments across a range of delivery streams and internal-focused Account projects and initiatives
  • DXC organizational initiatives.
Tasks associated with these assignments can vary from business process analysis, application assessments, gathering and documenting user, functional and technical requirements, assisting with transitions of new business into DXC, assisting with RFI and RFP responses, assisting in developing collateral and other capability-related initiatives, preparing a variety of business and contractual documents and reports to meet client and DXC needs and deliverables. This role will involve working at a mixture of sites, including: Working from Home, on-site with the customer and at the DXC office in Wellington. Working on the customer site currently involves three days per week or five days across two weeks, depending on customer groups with which the person is working. NOTE: As the Christmas holidays are coming, this role will start in January/February. Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison between client and other support groups to identify business processes, systems and product requirements
  • Define user, functional and technical requirements Scope and Change Management.
  • Assist in the preparation of project workbooks, estimates and schedules
  • Define and document business processes
  • Apply process and quality principles, policies and procedures
  • Interpret and understand contractual deliverables including SLA’s
  • Assist in the preparation of business cases, feasibility studies and other business development initiatives
  • Conduct interviews and facilitate workshops to elicit requirements
  • Develop and conduct training activities for peers and clients
  • Participate in responses to sales tenders (internal and external) Data modelling Stand in for the Project Manager where needed
Skills and Experience
  • Experience of delivering systems solutions to support the needs of the business
  • Experience in analysing and converting User Requirements into Functional Specifications
  • Strong Verbal Communication skills required for customer liaison, interviewing, negotiating, and presentations
  • Strong Written Communication skills required for articulating requirements into having one meaning for all audiences using various media i.e. presentations, specifications Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with Clients at all levels.
  • Extensive business analysis background (>8 years) in software or related design
  • Have experience in the Agile methodology as well as Waterfall environments
  • Understand Test driven development and Continuous integration Have a “Generalist” mind-set, able to wear different hats
  • Experience in using modern methods and processes Experience in providing solution consultancy and manage deliverables on complex projects
  • Experience in Business process re-engineering
  • Have experience in process flow diagrams and swim lanes
  • Experience in Organisational Change Management Understand Kanban concepts
Advantageous: Previous work with finance/banking organisations, preferably 5+ years of experience An understanding of Cloud technologies. Personal Attributes
