Large, integrated and well-established group in the agriculture sector is looking to employ an experienced, motivated and driven Management Accountant. This group has interests across the country and this role will be situated in the Cape Winelands, Western Cape. This is a newly created role due to expansion and growth, thus presenting a unique opportunity. The ideal candidate must have an accounting qualification and at least 3 years' post-articles experience in a commerce similar related position would be a definite benefit. Completed SAIPA, SAICA or CIMA articles will be a distinct advantage and knowledge of ERP systems (Navision, Business Central, or similar) will be a positive. Industry experience in agriculture, farming, citrus, fruit, export, production, or related industry will also be an advantage, though not a pre-requisite. We are looking for a resilient self-starter, capable to take initiative, work on their own and as part of a team. Someone that is not scared to roll up their sleeves and do the groundwork, , automations, system improvements, financial modeling, etc. This is an excellent opportunity for personal growth as well as growth within this expanding business and industry. Purpose of the role:To collect and analyse financial data to determine the gross profit of foods projects and lines, as well as preparing budgets and cost reports for management, focusing on gross profit and stock control. Identify areas for cost optimization and recommending strategies. Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and to contribute to the development and enhancement of financial models. Duties and Responsibilities: Financial Analysis:Conduct comprehensive analysis of key financial data to determine the gross profits of the various projects and food lines.Identify gross profit losses and recommend focus areas to turn losses around to maximise profits.Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes to enhance efficiencies. Budgeting and Forecasting:Prepare budgets and cost reports with specific focus on gross profit and stock control.Identify areas for cost reduction and improvement of stock control.Provide information and input to assist is the strategic financial planning and decision-making. Costings:Identify areas for cost optimization and improved cost efficiencies and recommending strategies.Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost allocation.Develop and implement cost-effective financial procedures, as well as mitigating financial risks.Review all new costings for accuracy and ensure profitability of the product line. Process Optimisation:Conduct research and contribute to the development and enhancement of financial models. Ad hoc duties and responsibilities assigned by Senior Management. Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Management Accounting, Accounting, Finance or similar.CIMA designation required - CGMA, ACMA, FCMA.Completed SAICA, SAIPA, CIMA articles preferred.Minimum 3 years' experience in finance, with Management Accountanting and Costing experience a definite positive.Agriculture, Farming, Production, Export, and/or Citrus industry experience highly beneficial.ERP Accounting systems experience a plus, particularly Navision or Business Central.Advanced Excel with knowledge. Remuneration:R540,000 to R660,000 pa cost to company, depending on experience.
