About the role This role is responsible for managing a team of Travel Agent Sales Managers, that generates new business opportunities through the travel trade channel by networking with the travel agencies and other travel based organisations. This is an intensive field sales role where the incumbent is expected to constantly be on the lookout for engaging new travel agencies and travel based organisations to generate new business. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain prospect and customer list based on heavy field research and other resources like references or in-house database
- Engage in travel agent trade fairs and nurture relationships with every small to medium sized travel agent in the micro market
- Design tailor made packages for popular tourist destinations and aggressively pitch these packages with the available product line
- Actively engage in marketing communications to your client base through WhatsApp, email etc.
- Retain clients with immediate escalation handling and regular visits to the client office
- Follow up on timely advance payments and avoid No Shows at all costs
- Handling the team of Travel Agent Sales Managers
- 5+ years of experience in field travel agency sales background
- Good communication skills and proficient knowledge of the regional language
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close a business requirement with a high conversion rate
- Comfortable working in high paced environment with ever changing business requirements and personal KRAs
- Should be a self starter, street smart and comfortable with hustling on field to achieve the assigned target
