Reimagine what's possible!We are hiring immediately for a full-time Senior Project Engineer at our Long Beach, California office to support our Industrial Gases (IG) North America capital projects, strategic planning, turnaround planning, and turnaround execution. This position requires 25-45% travel primarily in the West Region (U.S.). The engineer may need to travel to turnarounds out of region and/or international (e.g., Canada, Trinidad).Primary Job Responsibilities:Lead assigned portion of outage scope through planning and construction.Successful execution of all the site construction works in accordance with the project schedule, cost, and other critical metrics.Create detailed planning activities in P6 for each work order using planning templates as applicable. Activities include individual tasks, workforce planning, durations, and generating mechanical job packages (e.g., pictures, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, safe work procedures, applicable standards, QC requirements).Complete Material Takeoffs for requisitioning/purchasing purposes, includes field verification.Provide contractor field management in all outage phases for assigned contractors, including safety, timesheet verification, field oversight, change orders, and QC verification.Lead Safety Meetings and Toolbox discussions including participating in Safe Work Permitting Process with our Operations team and Safe Work Audits.Requirements / Qualifications:Strong industrial construction management experience of large multi-discipline sites.Ability to read and understand P&IDs, ISO's, piping isometrics, fixed equipment design packages, and pipe specifications.Proficient in the use of SAP, Primavera P6, and MS Office.Knowledge of heavy equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes) is preferred.Experience with piping design and understanding of ASME B31.1 and ASME B31.3.10+ years of maintenance and/or engineering experience, preferably with experience in industrial outages, exchangers, pumps, hydrotesting, and pipe fabrication.Engineering degree (Chemical, Mechanical, or Construction) required.Able to achieve various state mandated certifications, TWIC, and other requirements, as necessary.Ability to work from heights and climb fixed ladders and stairs.Able to work a wide variety of scheduled days and hours, including night shift, following strict fatigue management guidelines.Valid Drivers' License required.Good driving record required.Air Products proudly values the skills, dedication, and leadership that Veterans bring to the table. This is the pay range that we reasonably expect to pay for this position.
