Job Details Role : Medical Services Department: Medical Services Location : Kolkata Experience: 10+ years of experience Brief Roles and responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee medical care and clinical service quality at the unit.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (MTP, PCPNDT, AERB, Radiation Safety).
  • Analyze department mix, consultant needs, and performance of retainers.
  • Participate in tariff revisions, clinical compensation, and rationalization of costs.
  • Monitor clinician quality, accreditation, and quality assurance services.
  • Conduct and participate in various medical committees (Advisory Board, HOD, Infection Control, Ethics, etc.).
  • Oversee quality improvement initiatives, patient safety, and recognition programs.
  • Manage consultant recruitment, induction, credentialing, contracts, and performance appraisal.
  • Address patient concerns and medico-legal issues in coordination with the treating doctor and legal team.
  • Conduct mortality meetings and clinical billing code audits.
  • Provide clinical input for medico-legal cases and new projects.
  • Engage and motivate team through training, performance management, and recognition.
  • Recommend junior clinical staff and initiate academic activities (DNB/FNB/Fellowships).
  • Ensure doctor training on patient safety and service excellence.
  • Prepare and optimize biomedical equipment budgets and utilization.
  • Oversee medical records digitization and conduct awareness programs.
  • Facilitate medical audits and JCI/NABH accreditation.
  • Manage media relations, government liaison, and support hospital profitability and budget planning.
Qualification :
  • MBBS with MBA/MHA
