The ideal consultant for this position is organized, has strong time management skills, is detail-oriented, works well in a team, and is a self-motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced environment. If you are a deadline-driven professional with a strong work ethic and proven background with the required experience, clearance level and certifications, we want to hear from you!Objective of the Role:To help advance the configuration and implementation of the cloud security environments in order to accelerate multiple departmental compliance projects. The client requires services to assist in architecting the integration of systems and networks for the secure processing of different cloud-based capabilities with a strong focus on security-by-design principles. The CSA's must lead Compliance Management Directorate in producing documentation, procedures, detailed design, configuration, security, testing, deployment of cloud end to end environments and their integration into clients' services, and to inform a strategic direction for an enterprise cloud solution for the Agency to meet compliance objectives.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Working as a technical leader alongside clients' internal development and infrastructure and business user teams to design, develop and continuously improve delivered cloud services;Reviewing and assisting in mapping business requirements across compliance major projects, processes and data towards developing and implementing cloud solutions which address business and technical needs;Assist in reviewing, developing and/or recommending SA&A (Security Assessment & Authorization) artifacts and activities as part of the development lifecycle for cloud-based applications, systems or solutions;Reviewing, analyzing, and/or applying: Architectural methods, frameworks, and models such as The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), and IT Security Risk Management: A Lifecycle Approach (ITSG-33);Evaluating current skills with CMD and providing recommendations to fulfill future sustainable organization objectives towards cloud;Designing and developing an evaluation tool for Compliance Programs Suite of Solutions (CPSS) products for viability to migration to cloud technologies and a roadmap to begin migration; IncludingA prioritization model;Which products can be moved as-is, and which will require a redesign, and/or refactor re-write;Migration key performance indicators (KPIs), such as page load times, response times, availability, CPU usage, memory usage, and conversion rates.Reviewing, analyzing, developing and/or applying best practices and standards related to the concept of cloud infrastructures, data, environment configuration and roles security required (i.e. segregation of duties) to support common compliance major project capabilities;Leading the design of the system environments for releases (production and lower states) and coordinating all changes with impacted partners;Contributing with technical reports such as requirement analysis, options analysis, technical architecture documents;Conducting the evaluation of platform and components based on cost, data, compute, storage, and security to align business requirements for the selection services designed for the processing and hosting of Protected B information;Projecting platform costs and identifying cost control mechanisms such as monitoring, alerting and auto-scaling;Analyzing platforms for dependencies and limitations to ensure feasibility of the common major project services and for the future implementation of enterprise grade solutions;Leveraging MLOps practices, for the delivery of ML solutions, such as infrastructure as code, continuous integration and automated deployment (CI/CD);Attending project review meetings and briefings to articulate the proposed design or changes in a manner that makes sense to staff or to reach an understanding and/or solution to related problems and issues;Supporting and using the selected Agency methodologies and best practices;Cooperating with client management in regard to knowledge transfer;Providing consultation, coaching, and skills transfer to the project team;Ensuring any lessons learned and/or knowledge sharing is completed on a regular basis.REQUIREMENTS:10 years of work as a Cloud Security ArchitectExperience working with Canadian government depts in 5 of last 10 yearsExperience contributing to the design of security standardsMust have 3 of the following certs:Any AWS or Microsoft cloud certificationCertified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)AWS Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified Machine Learning, Azure AI Engineer Associate, Solutions Architect AssociateExperience leading transformative cloud initiatives and coordinating between multiple stakeholders.POSITION HIGHLIGHTSStart Date: early 2024Sector: Public - federal governmentOpen positions: 1Location: OttawaJob Types: Full-timeLanguage Requirements: EnglishSecurity Clearance: Level II Secret clearanceWho We Are:Recognized as one of Canada's Top 500 Growing and Growth 400 companies, DLS is a leading technology solutions integrator and service provider with an extensive cybersecurity research and development practice.
