Brand Management (Marketing & Communications) Full time MECCA is continuing to go onwards and upwards by opening new stores, evolving and expanding our services and continuing to offer the best curation of local and global beauty brands. The cornerstone of our strategy is our people, so this is where you come in! Reporting to the Head of Category, we are looking for a Senior Brand Manager for our largest category, Make-Up. The primary purpose of the Senior Brand Manager is to step-change and strategically drive the success through sales, profitability, and growth. The Role You Could Play: As the Senior Brand Manager, you'll have the opportunity to develop and implement a strategic agenda that drives change and boosts the long-term success of Make-Up at MECCA. You'll manage day-to-day relationships with our global makeup brand partners, seek growth opportunities to exceed customer expectations, and prepare monthly reporting and sales forecasting to boost profitability and long-term excellence. In addition to implementing the category strategy and brand performance, you'll also work with Marketing, Digital, and Loyalty to coordinate go-to-market initiatives around new brand launches. You'll coach, develop, and mentor team members within the broader Merchandise function and champion key department-wide projects and continuous improvement initiatives. What you will bring: There is no doubt that extensive prior buying and brand management experience in finished goods, and a passion for our customers is an absolute must for anyone in this role! You will also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Developed and implemented category and brand strategies to ensure long-term and lasting growth
- Driven long-term change, effectively influencing senior stakeholders and/or brand founders, and engaging others on the journey
- Well-honed rapport-building and interpersonal skills as a master relationship-builder with leading global brands
- Previous team leadership experience, inspiring and engaging a high performing team (preferably previous line management responsibilities)
- Commercially astute and experienced in owning and driving P&L efficiencies
- Previous experience building high performing teams with strong coaching and mentoring skills
- A strong negotiator of outcomes to benefit all parties and deliver commercially on all sides
- Extensively worked collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Operations, Digital, and Finance
