Thales has been selected to supply major electronic systems for air defence and the Group also supplied communication and optronic systems for the Army, the Saudi Arabia National Guards and the Air Force. The Procurement Product / Bid / Project Specialist reports to a Procurement Manager Products, Bids and Projects (PPM) or to a BL Procurement head.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. To challenge the acquisition needs and requirements and to promote design to cost analysis with the suppliers during the definition phase of the solution.
  2. To define the resulting acquisition plan, in order to optimize the cost of the Procurement parts.
  3. To execute the acquisition plan in accordance with the allocated targets (Time, Quality, Total Cost of Ownership, Risks & Opportunities).
  4. To liaise with operational teams and Category Buyers to monitor the execution of the Procurement plan.
  5. To define and monitor the contractual requirements of the acquisition.
  6. To comply with the “Manage Acquisition” process as per Chorus 2 and use the acquisition tools in place in the organization.
