Reporting: Warehouse Manager Location: Maitland Purpose: The overall purpose of this role is to:

  • Supervise warehouse staff and activities in the Maitland raw material warehouse.
  • Ensure stock accuracy and integrity is properly maintained.
  • Ensure warehouse processes and procedures are fully complied with.
Key functional duties:
  • Lead and manage the warehouse team.
  • Coordinate the operation of the raw material warehouse functions.
  • Manage the warehouse environment in terms of housekeeping, safety, hygiene and security.
  • Implement stock control best practices / processes to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor and evaluate daily employee performance to provide data support for performance assessments.
  • Ensure employees understand and comply with policies, procedures and expectations.
  • Generate and review operational reports / statistics.
  • Perform administrative duties as required.
  • Perform incident investigations.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent administration skills.
  • Proactive nature with good business sensibility.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Own transport.
Required Education/ Experience:
  • Matric plus relevant tertiary qualification (National Diploma / Degree).
  • A minimum of 3-years’ experience in a Warehouse Supervisor role, preferably in a food processing environment.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (Syspro).
  • Computer literacy - Office 365.
