Day to Day Team Management: Task Delegation & Review regarding direct reports Project Accountant and Finance Assistant. Weekly Team Meetings with Agenda & Follow Up. Individual & Team Motivation. Month End Managing the Timetable Tracking & Improvements. Manage Closing Process: PO's updated, Invoicing checked, Draft a/c's run, Adjustment journals, etc. Intercompany Reconciliation & Chasing. Full Consolidated P&L (with commentary). Margin report, by Product & Division (with commentary). Full Consolidated BS (with commentary). Working Capital (ratios & commentary). Cashflow Forecast (with commentary). Financial Control: Petty Cash & Expenses approval (incl monthly JLT sign-off by Group MD). Cheque/Online payment approval. Quote approval. Payroll Approval. Banking & Project Finance Report and Co-ordinate with Group on Cashflow. Manage relationship with HSBC & other financial institutions. Capital Expenditure Review requests. Report spend vs budget. Compliance: Statutory requirements. Regulatory requirements. Budgeting & Forecasting: Planning, creating and presenting. Team Development: Bi-annual review of Objectives & Skills (Financial, Commercial, Organisation, Communication, etc). Job coverage/rotation. Training (online, in-house & external courses as necessary). Year End: Additional Statutory Accounts - Preparation & Review (incl Disclosures). Auditors - Planning, Facilitation & Sign-off. General: Identifying process weaknesses and suggesting effective improvements to eradicate/mitigate. Ensuring adherence to all company policies & procedures; Promoting health and safety and ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.Job Specification At least 5 years Post Qualified experience, with substantial experience in a Finance Manager role. Working knowledge of SAP. Experience of a project based company, with the control and reporting that comes with it is essential. Experience of dealing with foreign group subsidiaries is essential i.e. intercompany invoicing and reconciliations, regular communication to ensure an up-to-date global picture, etc. Experience in Construction and related industries preferred (e.g. project based companies, with variation orders etc). Excellent communication and relationship building skills. In general, build good, professional relationships with all staff, particularly the Technical Department. Excellent IT skills (including excel) experience of Microsoft Navision would be advantageous. Confident and professional telephone manner. Able to manage workload efficiently, personally and your team, and meet required deadlines. Ability to effectively manage upwards, as well as downwards. Good team player. Product & business knowledge would be advantageous. Excellent attention to detail. You may be required to travel occasionally, locally or abroad, to visit project or subsidiary sites. You may be required to drive any of the company vehicles as and when requested (i.e. to visit various company sites and client site therefore, a valid & clean license must be held at all times.
