The opportunity : As the Wellbeing, Health & Safety Business Partner reporting into our Head of People & Culture Business Partnering and Talent, you will work with and influence key stakeholders to ensure our Wellbeing, Health & Safety strategy delivers on AIA’s purpose and enables our people to thrive. The current job holder is going on parental leave, so this 12-month fixed term cover is a rare opportunity for a passionate individual to join our fabulous, close-knit team and make a positive impact! Key responsibilities include :
- Working alongside leaders, the Wellbeing Committee, Health & Safety Representatives and other key stakeholders, to develop, deliver and drive strategies, policies and standards across the organisation.
- Leading the delivery of AIA NZ’s Wellbeing, Health & Safety strategy and underlying frameworks - this includes Whai Ora, our award-winning employee wellbeing programme.
- Maintaining expert knowledge and contributing to strategic recommendations for improved wellbeing, health & safety processes and initiatives.
- Identifying learning needs, developing and delivering relevant programmes which support our leaders and employees.
- Coaching and mentoring others to share and build wellbeing, health & safety capability within AIA NZ.
- Providing expert advice to the People & Culture team on how best to support leaders with the management and resolution of employee medical cases.
- Establishing and delivering standard reporting and insights across AIA NZ and implementing systems and processes that effectively capture and use data to deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management.
- Wellbeing, health & safety leadership experience within a corporate environment.
- Formal qualification in health, safety & wellbeing or a related discipline (essential).
- Demonstrated experience in the development of workplace wellbeing programmes that drive employee engagement.
- Expert knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing health & safety strategies, plans and programmes to ensure efficient service delivery with a focus on quality and risk management.
