As a Senior Dutch Copywriter your main responsibility is to work with the client services team and the client to strategize and effectively execute direct mail and digital marketing campaigns. You will be tasked with writing compelling mail, email, SMS, social, search and other digital assets based on briefs, while also incorporating edits and feedback from client services and the clients. You will need strong writing skills, the ability to collaborate effectively, and have a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities and Activities
- Analyzes provided copy briefs to ensure proper directions, resources, and assets are included to begin writing the job
- Reaches out to client services/project managers with any questions regarding the assignment or any specifics that need clarification.
- Researches content for assignments, which may be provided by the client or require independent sourcing.
- Writes assignments according to briefs and project requirements and rewrites to incorporate account and client edits as needed.
- Analyzes advertising trends, consumer surveys, and market data to devise strategic promotional plans for our clients, ensuring effective outreach and fundraising success
- Reviews and refines copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand voice and guidelines.
- Manages multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Conducts research to obtain factual information and authentic detail, using multiple sources.
- Edits existing written material as necessary and submits written revisions to meet standards and to satisfy needs of clients, publishers, directors, or producers.
- Follow appropriate procedures to get copyrights for completed work.
- Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.
- Certified Dutch expert B1 B2 or C1 C2
- 4-7 years of prior professional writing experience, with solid portfolio of work.
- 1-3 years of experience writing for an agency or relevant company as part of a traditional creative team (designer and copywriter) or in collaboration with other creative team members.
- Must speak and write Dutch as a first language
- Must be skilled in writing clear, concise, and grammatically correct copy.
- Have the ability to write copy that will appeal to various target audiences.
- Prior management of other copywriters or creative teams.
- Knowledge in Advertising, Direct Mail Marketing, Fundraising, or Nonprofits
- Demonstrated experience in Writing, Storytelling, Editing, and Proofreading.
- Must be highly creative and imaginative, and curious.
- Works well under pressure, prioritize projects and deadlines, collaborate effectively, and accept constructive criticism.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrate a progressive portfolio of past work
- Should be familiar with Word, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Pro DC and Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of online tools that can help accelerate the writing process (AI, subjectline.com, etc.)
- Knowledge of Workfront or other online management software is a plus.
