SNAP, which stands for Stop Now And Plan, is an evidence-based cognitive behavioural model that provides a framework for teaching children struggling with behaviour issues, and their parents, effective emotional regulation, self-control and problem-solving skills. The primary goal of SNAP is to help children to stop and think before they act, and keep them in school and out of trouble. SNAP is an example of one of CDIs programs currently being brought to scale across Canada. Reporting to the Program Manager, Implementation, we are looking for a Training Consultant to join our Training and Implementation team in Toronto. As part of a team of Trainer Consultants, you will nurture relationships with our Affiliate partners working together to ensure a successful implementation and launch of SNAP or other programs CDI brings to scale. You will provide consulting and training to support their delivery and compliance with our Model program requirements.Required Qualifications and SkillsThe experience: You have experience delivering and supporting multi-modal training, ideally in a school or community setting, nurturing relationships with program sponsors, providers, and participants. You take a proactive consultative approach to working with stakeholders at all levels, digging in to understand issues and formulating solutions. You emphasize the importance of adhering to the manual and evidence-based standards and prioritize frequent and clear communication. You can work in a highly distractible environment with sensitivity to the uniqueness and demands of a public service agency, handling interruptions that require constant refocusing. You have practical knowledge of training documentation processes and software. You value and embrace a scientist-practitioner model with the ability to engage Affiliates in similar practice.The training skills: You have a demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, managers, funding sources and community partners. You have exceptional communication skills and can adapt your presentation style to relay authenticity and ensure understanding. Your listening skills and mental attentiveness allow you to focus on the needs of individuals or groups to probe, analyze, synthesize, and create authentic connections and engagement. You can effectively prioritize work in an environment of competing demands while achieving established benchmarks and key performance indicators (KPIs).The desire to make a difference: You are interested in what we do and how we do it; you want to play a vital role in creating and fostering a positive experience with measurable outcomes that genuinely impact the lives of our clients and the people they interact with.The flexibility: You can work on-site and travel within Canada on an as-needed basis.Required ExperienceYou have experience delivering and supporting multi-modal training, ideally in a school or community setting, nurturing relationships with program sponsors, providers, and participants.ResponsibilityDeliver training: You will work with Affiliate sites to coordinate training logistics and conduct sessions independently or in collaboration with other Implementation team members. You will leverage our evidence-based, detailed manuals and presentations in PowerPoint and video and present information using various instructional techniques or formats, such as role-playing, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.Nurture ongoing success: You will act as a consultant and advisor, setting boundaries and expectations to ensure alignment and effective implementation and execution of the SNAP or other programs. You will communicate with Affiliate sites, answering questions, providing guidance, and troubleshooting issues. You will maintain your knowledge and skills and provide continuous training (to include new and refreshed topics) in cooperation with Affiliate sites.Maintain documentation: Using the SNAP Implementation Tool, you will track all consultation, training, and community-related activities and communications. You will support the editing and development of new training and resource materials.Measure: You will support Affiliate Sites' quality assurance activities, including monitoring program integrity and accreditation activities in consultation with the manager, research, and evaluation. You will also facilitate one-on-one meetings with the Affiliate site manager to discuss topics relevant to their group's performance and provide tools to promote improvement. You will work with the research team to create evaluations that track the effectiveness of training sessions, including telephone surveys and Affiliate site reviews.Compensation and Benefits Offered$62,382 per annum.
