Responsibilities
Database administration in Pre-Production & Production environmentsPerformance tuning & making query optimization recommendationsPatching of the Windows Clusters and SQL server instances they hostWorking with Technical and Solutions Architects to design and implement new SQL Server solutions using established design patternsDeploying new instances of SQL Server to Windows Clusters, on-premises virtual machines and Azure virtual machinesSQL Server Backups and RestoresHelp plan and execute application database changesConfiguration of new Transactional Replication, and new Service Broker queuesAlerting for SQL Server InfrastructureParticipating in an out of hours Standby RotaDatabase SecurityMentoring other DBAs and Application Support Analysts.
