Exciting opportunity with a dynamic & growing team working on first class projects in social infrastructure including health and education from smaller to $500m+ Known as one of the leading firms in the delivery of projects, our client is looking for a Junior / Assistant Project Manager to join their forward thinking, professional and dynamic project management consultancy in their Sydney office. Project experience in government sector related specifically to Health would be beneficial however their work varies across Education, Aged Care etc. as well and happy to train up the right person with experience in another sector. Candidates can come from client-side consultancy, main contractor or consulting engineering firms. Having excellent stakeholder engagement skills and positive can-do outlook is important. Years of experience: 1 to 2+ years Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Client management and consultation
  • Project Planning/Feasibility studies
  • Design Management
  • Liaison with authorities for DA submission
  • Risk Management
  • Value Engineering
  • Design Management and Value Engineering
  • Procurement of construction services
  • Cost control and cost reporting and superintendent of construction delivery
  • Commissioning and post contract duties for handover
  • Oversight and delivery of the project
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Construction, Project Management, Engineering, Architecture or similar
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years+ experience within the construction industry
  • Sound understanding of overall construction programmes and plans
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level Interpersonal skills
  • Experience working within a team environment
  • Ability to build rapport at all levels
  • Advanced computer literacy
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
