Job DescriptionRive Gauche is a high-end multi-disciplinary design studio based in Central London. We specialise in high-end residential and luxury hospitality in London and globally, currently working across 6 different countries. We offer a turnkey service from Architecture, Interior Design, to Project Management by providing an end-to-end service, offering clients strategic advice from the early stages of pre-acquisition through to project delivery.We believe in exceptional client services and are passionate about design.We are looking for an exceptional Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a skilled project manager with 5+ years' experience in the UK and should have experience working on high-end projects either residential, commercial or hospitality. They should have an excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of quality is a must. Candidates should have a background in architecture or a similar construction-based profession.The new PM will be assisting across all projects and report to our Head of Project Management.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneralEnsure efficient communication and information flow across the project team.Prepare and issue regular reports to the stakeholders of the project.Monitor the performance of the broader team and Rive Gauche team.Pre-ConstructionPrepare PEP (Project Execution Plan) including but not limited to:Structure and procedure for the project, design and construction.Agree project reporting and recording procedures.Project protocols.Establish the roles and responsibilities across the team.Consultant ProcurementDraft the relevant Requests for Proposals (RFP's).Manage and coordinate the return and assessment of RFP's.Issue a detailed recommendation report to the Client for approval.Project Coordination / Design ManagementManage the development and coordination of the design up to tender stage with the assistance of the project team.Ensure that information produced by the project team and Rive Gauche are fully coordinated and in line with the employer's requirements.Finance & TimelineProduce an outline project budget.Produce a programme based on the design intent and employer's requirements.Manage and update with the support of the Principal team the programme and cost plan through the Pre-Construction Stage.Procurement & Contract AdministrationPrepare the procurement strategy in line with the project objective for the project team.Advise on tendering and contractual procurement options.Manage and coordinate the tender process.Prepare and issue recommendations.Check applications for payment, review valuation and issue payment recommendations.TenderManage and coordinate the tender process with the assistance of the Professional Team which includes:Inviting potential contractors to prepare and submit tender.Chair mid and post tender interviews.Obtain responses to the tender.Compare responses to the tender regarding quality and quantity, unit prices and discounts, cost effectiveness, and manner of performance, as well as work organization and deadlines.ConstructionManage and monitor the development of the design and project coordination during the construction stage.Manage Rive Gauche team activities in line with the project requirement.Coordinate and manage the approval of construction information between the project stakeholders.Being proactive in providing solutions to site issues.Contract administration activities for consultants and contractors.Manage and monitor all variations and advise on programme and budget implications.Implement processes to monitor and manage the progress of the project including design, programme, cost and statutory requirements.Chair site meetings with the project team weekly and produce minutes of meetings.Produce project report and monitor team performance.Prepare a handover plan, identifying the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders.Required experience:Five years'+ experience in managing sizable projects of varied complexity in the UK.High-end project experience either residential, commercial or hospitality.Contract values between £1m and £15m.Refurbishment and new build projects.Knowledge and understanding of bespoke and high-end finishes.Required skills:Software proficiency must include: Smartsheet, Excel and Microsoft Project. Knowledge of AutoCAD is beneficial although not essential.Knowledge of UK building regulations, construction technology, UK planning policies and procurement methods.This is a client-facing role, the candidate should demonstrate good communication, excellent spoken and written English, and organisational skills.Exceptional technical knowledge with a great eye for detail and construction execution.Previous experience in the production of tender packages for architecture / interior architecture / joinery / FF&E is beneficial although not essential.A proactive approach to working, (can do attitude), with an ability to take initiative and drive the project.
