We're hiring!As we open our new, SECOND location in Oakville this fall (Dundas & 403 area), we're launching a new 'Youth Performance Company' for this location.With years of success as a program at our Toronto location, YPC is a training and performing company for ages 12-17 that learns from the best educators/choreographers in the field of dance. We teach professionalism, dedication, and community values through a welcoming, non-judgemental and safe environment. We provide performance opportunities beyond yearly recitals. From concept videos to the stage, our YPC members get a full range of experiences.We're hiring an ARTISTIC DIRECTOR for our Oakville Youth Performance Company! As the Artistic Director, you will:Develop and maintain a creative vision for the YPC performances, ensuring that it aligns with our organization's mission and values.Choreography: Create innovative and engaging choreography that challenges and inspires young dancers while considering their skill levels and abilitiesTeaching and Training: Conduct regular dance classes, rehearsals, and seminars, providing technical instruction, mentorship, and feedback to students, helping them reach their full potentialPerformance Management: Prepare the YPC for various performances, competitions, and showcases, ensuring they are well-prepared and confident on stage.Collaboration: Collaborate with other dance instructors and choreographers and staff to foster a well-rounded dance education for our students.Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with parents and guardians regarding students' progress, schedules, and performance opportunities.Development of Dance Programs: Contribute to the development and expansion of our YPC dance programs, including the creation of new classes and workshops, geared for the YPC and the broader student base.Safety and Discipline: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during rehearsals and performances, while also maintaining a respectful and disciplined dance environment.APPLY ASAP!
