Responsibilities:Developing and implementing financial strategies to support the organization's goals and objectives.Conducting market research and analyzing industry trends to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.Conducting variance analyses to compare actual results to budget and forecast, and identifying areas for improvement.Creating financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, to communicate financial information to senior management and other stakeholders.SkillsYears of Experience: 1 yearTechnical Accounting Skills:Financial Record Keeping: Proficiency in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, receipts, and expense reports.General Ledger Management: Skills in managing and reconciling the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.Accounts Payable/Receivable: Expertise in managing accounts payable and receivable processes, including processing payments, handling invoices, and monitoring outstanding balances.Budgeting and Forecasting: Ability to prepare and manage budgets, track financial performance, and make forecasts based on workshop data.Industry-Specific Knowledge:Workshop Financials: Understanding of financial aspects specific to workshops, such as parts inventory, labor costs, and equipment maintenance expenses.Cost Analysis: Ability to analyze costs associated with workshop operations, including labor, materials, and overheads, to optimize financial performance.Analytical Skills:Data Analysis: Skills in analyzing financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.Problem Solving: Ability to address and resolve financial issues, such as discrepancies in accounts or budget overruns.Software Proficiency:Accounting Software: Familiarity with accounting software and systems, such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage, for managing financial transactions and reporting.Spreadsheet Software: Proficiency in using spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and financial reporting.Communication Skills:Verbal Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with workshop staff, suppliers, and clients regarding financial matters.Written Communication: Skills in preparing clear and accurate financial reports, statements, and correspondence.Organizational Skills:Attention to Detail: Precision in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in all transactions and reports.Time Management: Effective time management skills to handle multiple accounting tasks and meet deadlines.Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge:Tax Compliance: Understanding of relevant tax regulations and requirements, including VAT/GST and income tax, to ensure compliance.Financial Regulations: Awareness of financial regulations and standards applicable to the workshop industry.Interpersonal Skills:Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with other workshop staff and management to address financial issues and support operational needs.Customer Service: Skills in providing excellent service to clients, particularly in handling billing inquiries and resolving financial disputes.Problem-Solving Skills:Financial Issue Resolution: Ability to identify and address financial discrepancies or issues, such as errors in billing or discrepancies in financial reports.Process Improvement: Skills in identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and enhance financial efficiency.
