For further information about the IB and its programmes visit http://www.ibo.org.Who are we looking for:The Diploma Programme (DP) Coordinator is a key leadership position and is responsible for the coordination and development of the IB Diploma programme in Grades 11 and 12. The DP Coordinator is involved in the whole implementation of the IB programmes and is the direct point of contact with the IBO in matters pertaining to the Diploma Programme. Key Responsibilities:Establish the IB Diploma Programme within the School.Work closely with the school leadership for the successful launch of the programme.Ensure that the IB DP programme is correctly implemented and is in alignment with the IB DP Programme Standards and Practices.Build a team of like-minded educators for the successful running of the programme.Create an IB DP handbook.Update oneself on the latest information on IB guidelines and make necessary recommendations/changes for curriculum development.Informing newly appointed IB DP staff of all relevant aspects of the programme.Organize Professional Development opportunities for teachers' understanding of the programme.Work with the school administration to plan and organize the physical and logistic requirements of the programme.Organize and engage parents in orientation programmes to build an understanding and support for the IB DP.Develop and implement marketing strategies for the IB DP. Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.Master's degree and/or IB certification (MYP/DP).Substantial experience in an IB/international school.Minimum 3 years of DP/MYP experience.
