Assist during the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food to the agreed and established standards.
Prepare and cook food to the highest standards to ensure efficient food service. Follow standard recipes and presentation of all dishes at all times.
Clean, peel, cut, and carve all food items according to the company's standards during efficient food service.
Keep track of supplies used to aid in re-ordering supplies as necessary.
Maintain the work area, ensuring that all items are appropriately cleaned and ready for use before and after each shift.
During food service, keep the station in working order and fully stocked.
Prepare items prior to meal service, such as chopping vegetables, cutting, precooking and marinating meat, or cleaning seafood.
Ensure that the kitchen meets sanitation standards as set by the Senior Chef and maintains local Health Department regulations.
Maintain a professional appearance, reflecting the reputation and image of the Company.
Ensure that all food items prepared and served are according to established standards and practices.
Minimize spoilage and utilize food surpluses.
Recommend changes in the menus to the Senior Chef or Chef de Partie.
Maintain the highest standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
Be aware of all fire, safety, and emergency procedures.
Be available to work overtime, if requested, depending on the volume of business.
Participate in any training/development schemes as recommended by Senior Management.
