Roles and ResponsibilitiesAn opportunity has arisen for a Night Manager to join our Front Office Team at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab - Residences. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:To assume responsibility for all activities in the hotel in the absence of executive management.To be fully aware of all activity within the hotel on a day to day basis.To monitor the operation of all departments to ensure all operating standards are maintained.To ensure that all public and back of house areas are maintained to the specified levels of cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation and to instigate appropriate action if this is not achieved.To assist in maintaining a high level of security for both guest and hotel property.To be fully conversant with all emergency procedures and pertinent local legislation.About You:The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:Must be adaptable and flexible to work weekends, days, evenings and holidays.Ability to learn multiple computer software and accurately input information into the systems.Minimum of 4 years luxury hospitality experience in a managerial role.About the Benefits:We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams (AED), the local currency of the UAE. In addition, we offer generous F&B benefits, reduced hotel rates across our properties globally, excellent leave and health care package including dental coverage, life insurance, incentive programs, and other employee benefits making the role attractive to high performers and any applicant looking for a career with one of the most luxurious brands in the hospitality industry.Desired Candidate ProfileGuest Services: Assisting guests with check-ins, check-outs, and addressing any inquiries or concerns during the night.Staff Supervision: Managing night staff, including receptionists, security personnel, and housekeeping, ensuring they perform their duties effectively.Security Oversight: Ensuring the safety and security of guests and the property, responding to any incidents or emergencies.Operational Management: Overseeing all hotel operations during the night, including monitoring facilities, services, and maintenance issues.Problem-Solving: Addressing guest complaints or issues promptly and effectively, often without immediate management support.Reporting: Preparing reports on night activities, occupancy rates, and any incidents for the management team.Financial Transactions: Handling cash, credit card transactions, and balancing accounts for the night shift.Policy Enforcement: Ensuring that hotel policies and procedures are followed during the night.Communication: Liaising with day staff to ensure a smooth transition and communicate any important updates or issues.Key SkillsLeadership: Strong ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively.Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills to provide outstanding service to guests.Problem-Solving: Ability to think quickly and make decisions in high-pressure situations.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with guests and staff.Time Management: Efficiently managing tasks and prioritizing responsibilities during the night shift.Attention to Detail: Ensuring all operations, from guest services to safety protocols, are handled meticulously.Adaptability: Flexibility to handle unexpected situations and changes in guest needs.
