A major Japanese food business is currently recruiting a Restaurant Manager to launch their first branch restaurant in Central London.You will be in charge of supporting the restaurant's start-up operations, restaurant management, and supervision. The company is also planning to develop new business and open new restaurants on the European continent in the future, which you will be involved in.Candidates with experience in setting up and running restaurants are welcome!There will be training in Asia during the training period. (TBC)Understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese skills will be advantageous.TYPE: Permanent, full-timeWORKING HOURS: 5 days' work (2 days off), 40-48 hours per week (TBC)SALARY: Depending on experienceSTART: ASAPLOCATION: Central LondonRestaurant Manager Main Responsibilities:Support shop start-up operations, shop management, and supervision, with an understanding of the operational situation and the importance of service.Act as a pipeline between the company and the restaurant, managing the progress of start-up operations and reporting back to head office.Work closely with the management team and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets.Research and gather information on competitors' trends.Select suppliers, purchase, and build business relationships.Maintain stock availability of products and order products as required.Plan and create menus.Recruit, train, and supervise staff.Maintain and manage a safe working environment.Set up safety management and hygiene regulations and food safety procedures.Guidance on kitchen cleaning in accordance with regulatory guidelines.Set and manage work schedules.Restaurant Manager Ideal Candidate:Possess a high level of customer service skills.Experience in leading restaurant operations, business development, and restaurant start-up management.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong organizational and planning skills.Attention to detail, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.Excellent time management and multitasking skills.Understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese skills will be advantageous.Note: All applicants must have the right to work in the UK as the Company is not able to offer visa support.
