Job Title: Chinese Cuisine Chef Location: The Village Inn, 24 Mokoroa Street, Te Anau 9600 Pay Rate: $30 - $34 NZD per hour Hours of Work: Minimum guaranteed 30 to 60 hours per week Number wanted : 2 Type of Employment : Permanent  Days required: Monday -Friday (Weekend Upon Request) Key Responsibilities:

• Plan menus and estimate food and labour costs, ensuring efficient and cost-effective preparation of high-quality dishes.
• Monitor the quality of dishes through all preparation and presentation stages, ensuring consistency and excellence.
• Collaborate with managers, dietitians, and kitchen staff on menu planning and preparation standards.
• Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise on cooking procedures, maintaining high standards in traditional Chinese cuisine.
• Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes with precision and authenticity.
• Uphold and enforce hygiene and food safety regulations to meet health standards.
• Potentially participate in staff selection and training, fostering a skilled and cohesive kitchen team.
• May be involved in food preservation and freezing for inventory management.

• A valid Chinese Chef Certificate.
• Minimum of three years of experience specializing in Chinese cuisine, demonstrating expertise in both preparation and presentation.
