Database Administrator (SQL Server and Oracle)Netways - Doha, QatarPosted In: 3/10/2014Job Description:Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline.Administration of Oracle 10g/11g and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2/2005.Experience in performance tuning and optimization using native Oracle and SQL Server troubleshooting tools.Experience in Oracle and SQL Server backups, restores, and recovery models.Experience in index management and optimization (Oracle and SQL Server).Experience in PL-SQL and T-SQL Scripting.Experience in SQL Server Database Replication.Experience in Disaster Recovery management like Log Shipping, Database Mirroring, RMAN, Dataguard.Working experience with n-tier architectures along with experience with service-oriented architectures (SOA).Willing to take initiatives and lead by example.Experience: 3-4 years of experience in the Oracle and SQL Server Database administration area.Technical Skills:Minimum 2 years' experience with Oracle 10g/ 11g, RMAN, Linux, preferred to have experience with Oracle Dataguard.Minimum 2 years' experience with SQL Server 2008 R2/2005, Windows Server 2008 R2, Log shipping, Database Replication.Preferences:Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with demonstrable ability to interact and influence at all levels within the organization.Self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, responsible team-player.Demonstrable experience of managing, owning and delivering high-quality projects to objectives and within time scale with a high degree of accuracy.Ability to make decisions based on Best Practices.Ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment.Ability to quickly learn new concepts and essential tools/software is necessary.Sound working knowledge of application integration and testing.Passionate about problem-solving and troubleshooting.Job Category: IT - Software DevelopmentJob Requirements:Experience: Min: 3 Years, Max: 4 YearsCareer Level: Executive/DirectorJob Type: Full TimeVacancies: 1 Open PositionSalary: NegotiableGender: AnyDegree Level: Bachelor's degreeFaculty / Institute: AnyMajor: Computer ScienceAge: AnyNationality: AnyResidence Location: AnyLanguages: English - Fluent / Excellent, French - Fluent / ExcellentOwn a Car: AnyHave Driving License: YesAbout The Company:As a Global and a Local Microsoft Gold Partner and a member of Inner Circle (top 1% of Microsoft's partners around the world), Netways is positioned as a leader in digital transformation.
