Architecture49 is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our Seaway Corridor team.

Seaway Corridor
Architecture49's Seaway Corridor Region is an office with deep ties across eastern Ontario. With bustling communities nestled along the St. Lawrence River, the region has a vibrant culture that uniquely combines the slow pace of small farming towns with growing city centres. Bordered by Kingston, Ottawa, and Montreal, our designers are sought out for their expertise in educational projects while expanding the practice to various sectors such as community impact, commercial spaces, and industrial hubs. Responsibilities
Producing and overseeing technical design and contract documents in compliance with owner requirements, in collaboration with project teams.
Working with team members to validate that designs and deliverables conform to technical guidelines, code requirements, regulations, quality assurance, and control.
Providing technical design solutions for both new and renovation projects including interior and exterior assemblies.
Leading assembly of specifications for projects using the NMS format.
Coordinating and leading internal production teams.
Coordinating with project sub-consultants.
Providing technical mentoring and project leadership to office staff.
Assisting with contract administration including site visits and working with construction contractors.
Qualifications
Degree or diploma in architectural and building technology from an accredited technical college.
15+ years' working as an Architectural Technologist for an Architectural consulting firm.
Demonstrated substantial product knowledge and ability to detail architectural building systems.
Construction site experience.
Preference given to candidates with knowledge of BIM principles & workflows; REVIT software; AutoCAD software; Microsoft 365 environment; Bluebeam.
