Stanford Hall seeks a part-time Account and Finance professional to manage bookkeeping and finances while supporting the management team of this historic house and estate. Stanford Hall and the estate host various activities, including private events, public park events, and open days, and are linked to an adjacent caravan park. This role will be responsible for managing and undertaking all financial matters related to all estate affairs and will report to the owners, Nick and Lucy Fothergill. Working Hours:3 days per week (Ideally 5 half-days in the office, Monday to Friday). The position is highly seasonal, with the busiest period running from March to October. Flexibility during this time, particularly during the estate's three-week open period, will be required. Daily Hours: Ideally 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM (but flexible and to be negotiated and agreed) Salary: £23,000 - 25,000 pro rata (to be agreed) Finances/Booking Responsibilities will include undertaking the following tasks: Financial Management Managing income and expenditure budgetsCash flow forecasting and managementProviding monthly or quarterly accounts to trial balance Bookkeeping and Accounting Bookkeeping (Sage updating, supplier payments, etc.)Preparing accounts, reports, budgets, commentaries, and financial statements for the Manager and AccountantVAT returnsHandling pre-payments, accruals, and balance sheet itemsPurchase ledger and credit control Payroll and Leave Administration Payroll duties as required (including pensions, HMRC submissions, etc.)Managing leave/holiday entitlements and tracker Additional Office Responsibilities: Answering the phone and taking messages and handling basic public telephone enquiries. Key Skills Required: Experience with SAGE accounting packages, including payrollStrong ability with figures and general numeracyGood IT skills, particularly in spreadsheet useSelf-motivation and strong communication skills and ability to work as a team
