Working within our corporate infrastructure team, as a Senior Network Specialist you will support the design, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of the corporate backbone, campus, and datacenter infrastructure. You may participate in technical discussions to provide insights on how to leverage our WAN backbone to its full capacity. While you may participate in the day-to-day operations (10% of the workload), you will also have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies and explore new ideas/concepts ultimately leading to passion projects, in line with business requirements.
What you'll be doing:
Work with ISPs, datacenter providers and hardware vendors on a regular basis
Contribute to the team's projects (70% of your week)
Work with other infrastructure teams to troubleshoot issues
Participate in WAN expansion projects
Help manage the MPLS backbone
Help manage the Wi-Fi infrastructure
Participate in lifecycle upgrades
Work with key partners to establish peering at our different internet exchange (IX) and optimize global BGP routing policies.
Help design and build new segments in the network as required
Design and maintain cloud networks
Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support
What you'll need to be successful:
Must haves:
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
Expert Level Knowledge of BGP
In-depth understanding of Juniper's Junos OS (MX, EX, QFX, SRX)
In-depth knowledge of BGP (inet, inet-vpn, inet6 and EVPN families)
Expert Level Knowledge of EVPN-MPLS and EVPN-VXLAN
Knowledge of VPN/tunnel technologies (IPSec, GRE, etc.)
Hands-on experience with MPLS technologies and environments.
Experienced working in a multi-tenant environment (Service Provider/Data Center Operator)
Deep understanding of the OSI model
Experience with 802.1x Authentication
Experience with Linux server administration, BASH/Python scripting, file system manipulation, etc.
Experience with radius server management and configuration
Positive "Can do" attitude and someone who can contribute to creative solutions
Soft Skills (collaboration, positive interaction with peer teams, being helpful etc.)
The successful candidate will participate in an on-call rotation for afterhours support
Evening and weekend work may be required (it's normally scheduled in advance)
Some travel may be required (we allow remote work so this will depend on where the successful candidate lives)
Nice to haves:
JNCIP/JNCIE or CCNP/CCIE certifications are a plus
Experience with Segment Routing (SR-MPLS) and Traffic Engineering (TE)
Network Automation knowledge (Python, Ansible, YANG, BASH, etc.)
Experience with Next-Gen firewalls
