Job DescriptionThe Director of Business Development will be a critical contributor in helping the company continue to grow its footprint amongst leading health systems and hospitals throughout the United States. Reporting directly to the President, the selected candidate will oversee and direct a wide variety of workstreams, from lead generation and outbound marketing programs to speaking engagements, webinars and RFPs. This position provides an opportunity for the selected candidate to apply his/her relationship building, presentation and leadership skills within an employee-centric, purpose-driven culture.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and coordinate opportunities to introduce the agency to new clientsAssist in developing and nurturing prospective clientsResponding, packaging and presenting RFPsSupport the development of new business and pitch presentations and RFPsResponsible for assessing potential prospects' viability by gathering information on company history, marketing budget, client background, and potential conflicts of interestTrack and manage database system of prospective clientsManage logistics: appointments, travel, etc.RequirementsExceptional communication (both oral and written) skillsAdvertising agency account management and/or business development experience preferredStrong relationship-building skillsMust provide excellent customer service to both internal as well as external customersUnderstands the value of anticipation and proactivity and actively seeks opportunities to learn, grow, and produceFlexible; ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasksIncredible attention to detail and double-checking facts and dataAbility to work autonomously and as part of a teamTime management (schedules, timelines, task prioritization)Handles pressure exceedingly wellHolds themselves and others to the highest standards of performanceComfortable in the grey-can work effectively with incomplete information
