Minimum RequirementsDiploma in Mechanical/ Electrical or any equivalent Health & Safety educational qualificationNEBOSH or any equivalent Safety professional certificationMore than 7 years of experience in HSE roles in any manufacturing industryAble to communicate in Hindi & English fluently and prepare necessary reports/documentsAwareness of local regulatory/legal requirementsAwareness of ISO 45001 & 14001 & experience in handling audit documentation and procedure is an added advantagePhysically fit, energetic and able to spend full time on the shop floorKey ResponsibilitiesEffective vigilance on all work activities in the factory and identify any unsafe conditions or unsafe behaviourWork closely with each line supervisor or in-charge to avoid and rectify unsafe conditions and behaviorsTimely escalation and reporting of any unsafe behaviors and conditions to the officerWork closely with all line supervisors or in-charges for compliance to safe operating procedures of the machineryDaily workplace inspections shall be carried out for all Health & Safety aspects like - Machine safety, PPE usage, Chemical storage and handling, Fire protection system, Emergency evacuation needs, Safe electrical installations, Hand tools usage, Forklifts, Lifting tackles etc.Carry out daily Health & Safety awareness talks and trainings for shop floor employeesContinuous monitoring on effective PPE usage and ensure sustenanceMonitoring on Height works and Hot works in the factory and ensure necessary precautions are being followed by employeesWeekly & Monthly inspections on fire protection system's equipment and Emergency preparedness needs as per the checklists and maintain the recordsPeriodic inspection and third-party certification of Scaffoldings, Full body harnesses, pressure vessels, lifting tools & tackles etc.Carry out emergency mock drills and ensure all requirements are being maintainedPrepare and submit weekly & Monthly HSE reports to the reporting ManagerMonitoring, tracking and executing disposal of hazardous wastes
