Mō te tūranga / About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Professional Development Team (PDU) - the main focus of the position is older person's and rehabilitation nursing. The purpose of the role is to promote evidence-based quality nursing practice through education and practice development of individual nurses and teams within the clinical setting. The above will be achieved through close working of the Clinical Nurse Educator group and Nurse Consultant within the Professional Development Unit (PDU). We welcome applicants with significant practice experience in older persons and rehabilitation health and a proven desire to grow and develop nurses through education and coaching. You should have:

  • Current APC with the NZ Nursing Council
  • A minimum of 3 years nursing experience
  • Recent experience in an acute rehabilitation or older person's setting
  • A post graduate nursing qualification must be in progress or completed.
  • Great communicator with the ability to convey ideas and information clearly to a varied audience

Awhe utu / Salary range

$114,025 to $121,444 pro-rated to hours worked.
