Accounting Manager

Currently, the Company operates two fully automated, state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities with an annual production capacity of approaching 20 GWh. e-STORAGE is fully equipped to continue providing high-quality, scalable energy storage solutions and contribute to the widespread adoption of clean energy. Position Title: Accounting Manager Department: Finance & Accounting Entity: CS e-STORAGE Reports To: Controller, Finance & Accounting Location: Sydney or Melbourne Australia Position Summary: As the Accounting Manager, you will own all General Ledger entries and GL maintenance, ensuring accuracy and precision with each entry as you reconcile financial statements. You’ll work in collaboration with the various departments for accounting data, possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for identifying and correcting financial discrepancies. Other responsibilities include:
  • Prepare and review entries at General Ledger level, reconcile financial statements and accounts, ensure data accuracy and perform duties within respective timelines for financial reporting.
  • Perform regular reconciliation of all sub-ledger and reconcile to general ledger at closing, to assess reasonableness of the balances at the period end and the compliance of US GAAP.
  • Execution of monthly/quarterly/yearly closing procedures including the final Oracle HFM upload, ensure completion of accounting closing activities and tasks, to meet internal and external deadlines.
  • Work closely with project implementation and Service team for project progress tracking, revenue recognition and PL analysis, provide support for management decision.
  • Support treasury management as a backup for execution of fund releasing.
  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements including cash flow statements and financial package to the lender in compliance with credit facility agreement.
  • Support tax team in reviewing Transfer Pricing AJE following the benchmark of transfer price study.
  • Work closely with HQ Reporting on any inquiries and HFM top side entries and reconciliation of local TBs with HFM TBs per US GAAP.
  • Lead the teams to complete monthly/quarterly MR IPO reports to meet required deadlines.
  • Liaison with internal/external auditors, external CPAs and tax consultants.
  • Support SOX audits, prepare and update narratives documentation, improve policies and procedures.
  • Make recommendations to business stakeholders, keen to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization, continuously enhancing workflows of responsible functions.
  • Research and propose the accounting treatments, set up new accounting books to meet the business needs.
  • Assist on recruiting, training and provide guidance to teammates.
Education/Training:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in Finance or Accounting, CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of related experience.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP and experience in working with public companies.
  • Big 4 experience is a plus, but not required (PWC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG).
  • High level of professionalism, results oriented, organized, highly motivated and detailed.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, multi-task and strong analytical skills.
  • Computer literacy, excellent abilities with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
