About the Role: As our Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the accounting functions for BizDateUp. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and provide critical financial insights to support the firm’s strategic goals. Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Compliance:

• Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other legal requirements.

• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Analyze financial performance and variances against budget, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.

• Implement and maintain effective accounting systems and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and work towards streamlining financial operations.

• Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes, ensuring all necessary documentation and records are maintained.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard the firm’s assets and ensure financial integrity.

• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and provide actionable insights.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in financial reporting and compliance.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA) is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in managing accounting functions and working with financial systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of the startup ecosystem and venture capital accounting practices is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English and Hindi (highly desirable).
