Position OverviewThe Director - Microsoft Alliance oversees the Microsoft relationship and business for Insight working with sales, vendor management, finance and leadership at Insight. Incumbents are to provide leadership and management to each group and provide strategic direction to the management team by supporting and creating business strategies for increasing market share.What you'll do at Insight-Build and maintain executive management level relationships within Insight, its customers and Microsoft.-Manage the sales activities of the Microsoft team and is responsible for their maintenance (forecasting, operational efficiencies, reviews, etc.), including the management and assistance of company growth through guidance and training.-Inspection and analysis of the ongoing financial state of the Microsoft business to ensure revenue generation and gross profit objectives are met/exceeded.-Proactively work to drive service level practices. This includes working with the services practice leadership to assist in the development of new offerings, methodologies and the expansion of best practices as well as the proactive approach of developing regional and local competencies that support the national Microsoft practice framework.-Coordinate activities when appropriate across geos (NA, EMEA, APAC)-Participate and take an active role in sales leadership within each geography evangelizing Microsoft technology.-Recruit, retain and support the Microsoft solutions team working with the team manager.-Participate in client calls in support of the Microsoft/Insight partnership.-Represent Canada's requirements in the CCx and marketplace initiatives.-Maintains open lines of communication with other departments to ensure confidence and enhance the relationships within Insight.-Represents Insight in a professional and business-like manner and communicates effectively with Insight associates and their customers.-Other duties as assigned.What you'll need to join Insight-Extensive management experience within the professional and/or technical services discipline (minimum of 10 years).-Must possess strong leadership skills in teamwork and communication across multiple organizations.-Must have a strong knowledge of IT products and services.-Must be able to show a proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas.-Advanced knowledge of MS Office products.-Experience in strategic planning and execution required. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.-Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and gross profit/revenue expectations.-Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills (French language skills recommended).-Ability to motivate teams to produce results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.-Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.-Experience in Project Management is desired.
