Lead design and supportimplementation of PBs-level block, object and file storagesolutions as integral components of Cloud and HPC environmentsensuring stability, performance and compliance with industrystandards and best practices.Collaborate withcross-functional teams for requirements gathering, providingtechnical guidance, and ensuring alignment of strategy withbusiness objectives.Collaborate with fellowarchitects and other platform engineering teams on storage andbackup technology component evaluation, selection and solutiondesign ensuring solutions are designed following best practices andare optimized from both functional and non-functionalperspectives.Define roadmap for all storagesolutions and services across the organization's productsportfolio.Define and support execution ofdisaster recovery strategies ensuring data integrity, availability,and protection across all platforms andenvironments.Support regular capacity planningexercises to anticipate and accommodate the growing demands on thestorage infrastructure, ensuring it meets current and futurerequirements.Conduct regular reviews andaudits of storage solutions architecture and configurations,identifying opportunities for optimization, consolidation, and riskmitigation.Prepare, validate and jointlyapprove high-level and low-level design documents, scope of work,BoQ/BoM and RFI/RFP/RFQ holding responsibility for compliance withperformance, scalability, and reliabilityrequirements.Support the procurement processby evaluating technologies, sources, preparing specifications, andevaluating proposals.Provide technicalleadership, mentorship, and guidance to teammembers.Collaborate with cross-functionalteams for requirements gathering, providing technical guidance, andensuring alignment of strategy with businessobjectives.Oversee the deployment process andacceptance testing according to project documentation and designspecifications.Lead design observability andLogging System in collaboration with the technology engineeringteam.Contribute to relevant processes andprocedures improving efficiency and enhancing internal and externalstakeholder experience.QualificationsBachelor's orMaster's degree in Computer Science, Engineering,Software Engineering or related degree in a technologydiscipline.10+ of experience and deepexpertise in designing, implementing, and managing storagesolutions, including 5+ years of extensive experience insoftware-defined storage: block, file, and object storagesystems.Expert-level knowledge of backupsystems, disaster recovery principles, and data protectionstrategies.Experience with different storageprotocols providing block, object and file storage interfaces suchas iSCSI, S3, NFS, FC(oE), NVM over TCP,etc.Expert-level knowledge of the operatingprinciples of storage system from vendors: HPe, Dell EMC, NetApp,Hitachi, IBM, PureStorage and VaSTData.Experience with implementing andoperating object storage solutions based on SeaweedFS, MinIO,Cloudian HyperStore, Qumulo S3, Scality Ring, Dell ECS would be asignificant advantage.
