The Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting will report directly to the Director, Accounting and will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the financial accounting activities of the Company. will lead a team of accounting professionals. This position requires a seasoned accounting professional with extensive experience in applying accounting principles, internal controls and sales tax compliance. The Senior Manager will lead a team of skilled professionals, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and adherence to accounting standards.Key responsibilities include:• Owning the close process by being responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing the month-end/quarter-end/year-end closes ensuring timeliness and accuracy. Review and approve all the journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations on a timely basis• Oversee the collection of dealer accounts receivable ensuring timely collection or payments are withheld to offset the receivable form dealers on a weekly basis• Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of internal controls that your team is responsible for. Responsible for communication and follow up for internal control improvements within the team• Oversee the day-to-day banking functions, month-end bank reconciliation and timely update of cash flow forecast file• Review and approve the monthly commodity tax filings and support Commodity Tax Compliance/Audit, Income Tax Compliance /Audit & External Audit• Implement and monitor compliance of Xplore's accounting policies & procedures while identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting• Reviewing to ensure mapping of new GLs and new products (revenue) are executed appropriately to ensure new products are reflected in the appropriate revenue category• Review the annual insurance renewal schedules and completed forms to ensure accurate information are being submitted to the insurance companyThe ideal candidate will possess:• 6+ years of related experience; at least 3 years of experience as a manager• Experience with SAP or large ERP a definite asset• Fast growth company experience and/or telecom experience would be an asset• Strong understanding of IFRS• Understanding of federal and provincial sales tax compliance• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel• Must have excellent interpersonal/communication skills• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAs a condition of employment and in order to comply with industry related data security standards, this position is subject to the successful completion of a Criminal Background Check.
